EASA-FAA International Aviation Safety Konferenz in Köln

The 2019 EASA-FAA International Aviation Safety Conference will be held in Cologne from 12-14 June 2019.

The conference will bring together senior aviation professionals from regulators, manufacturers, airlines and associations from all world regions, to discuss global aviation safety issues from the perspective of both the regulators and industry.

This year, under the theme “Regulators Innovating in the 21st Century”, the conference will take a closer look at concrete ways for industry and regulators to address fast-paced innovation and emerging risks.

The Conference programme is structured around three focus areas: ‘The innovation challenge’, ‘Expanding the regulator’s toolbox’ and ‘Partnerships for the future’.

Setting the scene, plenary sessions on the first day will look into the regulators’ role in innovation and the challenges of technology. They will be followed by a series of panel discussions and technical sessions on a wide range of topics, such as automated Flight Deck, Virtual Towers, Electrical Vertical Take-off and Landing Vehicles, Safety Management Systems, safety intelligence, interoperability of aircraft, certification synergies, or the new Annexes to the EU-US BASA.
